Join the Client Advisory Council

The Client Advisory Council guides Montana Family Planning’s efforts to ensure that all clients feel welcome and respected. Members play an important role in ensuring the voice of our clients and representatives from the communities we serve are the foundation to how we deliver care. By getting involved, you can make a difference!

Who

  • Current or past clients of any Montana Family Planning clinic

  • People who identify with any number of these groups that often face greater obstacles to health and who are interested in using their experience to make services more accessible, equitable, and of higher quality:

    • People with low incomes

    • Indigenous and other people of color

    • Teens + adolescents

    • People living in rural areas

    • People with disabilities

    • People who identify as LGBTQ+

    • People who have been involved in the foster care and/or justice system

What

  • Advocate for clients by providing information and feedback about Montana Family Planning’s services, opportunities, and client needs.

  • Review materials used for communicating with clients to assess whether they are appropriate and effective.

Where

  • Anywhere in Montana! Committee members participate virtually.

When

  • Every 2-3 months for a total commitment of 6-12 hours per year.

Why

  • Help your community become healthier and more empowered to care for themselves and one another.

  • Learn about important sexual and reproductive health topics.

  • Influence Montana Family Planning communications and services using your knowledge and experience.

  • Get paid for your contributions and expertise! Members receive a stipend of approximately $50 for each two-hour meeting.
